Heavily inspired by the WWII M-1942 Paratrooper Jump Jacket, Our Para-42 Jump Jacket has been on our wishlist for a long time. Took almost 2 years to develop the pattern, materials, and fit of this particular style. The M-1942 Paratrooper Jump Jacket was issued in 1942 during early airborne operations in North Africa and Italy. It was designed by Lieutenant Colonel (LTC) William P. Yarborough for American troops as they plummeted toward Earth from airplanes.
We replicate this jacket authentically using domestically woven 100% cotton in the correct weave, weight, density, and the popular earthy tone shade of khaki. This Para-42 Jump Jacket includes authentic detailing such as Timechine Co. 100% brass snap buttons, slanted pockets, a zippered knife pocket, a cloth belt with a matte black slide buckle, and a cloth keeper. What else could you want?
The M-42 paratrooper jacket featured in movie productions such as Saving Private Ryan and Band of Brothers.
