Our Fragment Flak Vest has taken the design of the US-issued M69 Flak Vest from the Vietnam War, notably worn by Mathew Modine in Stanley Kubrick’s Full Metal Jacket. The M69 Armored Vest was the modified and upgraded version of the M1952A, the first model, that would be surplus from use during the Korean War. The 1969 design vest was the first to be officially given the M69 nomenclature. All prior versions (after the M1952A) were officially named ‘Body Armor, Fragmentation Protective, Vest with 3/4 Collar’.
It features authentic details as you would have seen on an original M69, such as a crafted from nylon fabric, a stand collar, 2-front flapped pockets, and a drawstring adjustment lacing system at each side. But things go away from there. We have tweaked the design with a few personal touches, 2-front zippered pockets, a back big flapped pocket with velcro, and back inner storage are added.
